The La Cañada business is offering one free packet of ladybugs per family. Supplies are limited and will be given out on a first come, first serve basis.
According to the company's website, ladybugs help people's gardens by eating aphids and other small insects that chew away at plants, leaves and lettuces.

Fun facts listed on Armstrong Garden's Facebook page include: Ladybugs are the official state insect of Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Ohio and Tennessee and they can live for as many as three years.
