2 Men Arrested In String Of Business Burglaries In Laguna Beach
Two men were arrested this week in connection with a string of burglaries in Newport and Laguna Beach.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Two men were arrested in connection with a series of commercial burglaries in Newport Beach and Laguna Beach, authorities said Thursday.
According to police, the first arrest was initially reported on Dec. 23, 2024, when Laguna Beach police officers arrested Jayson Alden, 47, of Garden Grove. He was charged with five counts of burglary, two counts of felony vandalism, and one count of attempted burglary.
On Feb. 11, Newport Beach police officers arrested Julian Kanuha Kanaeholo, 42, on a Laguna Beach Police Department arrest warrant stemming from the burglaries.

He was charged with two counts of burglary and one count of felony vandalism.
According to police, four commercial burglaries were reported from Dec. 5 to Dec. 12 in the city of Laguna Beach. After an initial investigation, officers found that an additional commercial burglary had occurred on Dec. 12, 2024.

Both Kanaeholo and Alden were charged with the reported burglaries and currently are being held in Orange County Jail in lieu of bail.
