Hosted by the Laguna Beach Democratic Club, the gathering will be in person at Main Beach's grassy area starting at 10 a.m.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA—Virtual and actual demonstrations supporting women's reproductive rights are happening in every state and Washington D.C. this Saturday, October 2.
Laguna Beach's in-person rally will gather at Main Beach's grassy area at 10 a.m. and continue through noon. The event is hosted by the Laguna Beach Democratic Club.
The day of action addresses the latest attacks on reproductive rights, ignited by the Texas SB8 ban and the Supreme Court’s rejection of an emergency order to halt it.

Though it's not too late to get to Washington, D.C., for an actual march in the nation's capital. The March for Abortion Rights begins in Freedom Plaza and ends at the U.S. Supreme Court, which will be back in session on the usual first Monday in October.

Orange County Women's March, which has organized the massive marches in Santa Ana each year since January 2017, will be joining Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties in hosting “Raise Your Voice for Freedom of Choice.” The virtual event begins Saturday at 10 a.m. and features U.S. Representative Katie Porter from California's 45th district and Jon Dunn, CEO of Planned Parenthood San Bernardino.
Here's why organizers say it's crucial to "Raise Your Voice for Freedom of Choice":
"We must stand firm to preserve the rights of millions of Americans to make their own decisions about their bodies, lives and futures. The Supreme Court must protect all people’s rights and freedoms and ensure equal opportunities for everyone, no matter our race or ethnicity, where we come from, or how much money we have. We demand to have our voices heard and if that means getting louder, then we’re prepared to shout until they hear us."
