Laguna Beach was ranked the 18th best city-like suburb in the U.S. based on factors like job opportunities and entertainment.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Laguna Beach ranks among the best city-like suburbs in the U.S., according to a report by StorageCafe.
Laguna Beach ranked 18th on the list, following nearby suburbs Agoura Hills, ranked at the 13 slot, and Calabasas, ranked number five.
The ranking, created by storage space marketplace StorageCafe, reflects how conducive a suburb is to a city-like lifestyle, meaning it is "amenity-rich" with housing, entertainment and job opportunities.

The company ranked suburbs with a population between 10,000 and 100,000 based on factors like median household income, housing affordability, employment opportunities, population density, the local public school system and more.
Laguna Beach ranked highly partially because it has a high ratio of businesses, restaurants and stores to residents: per 1,000 residents, the city has 58 businesses, 6.8 retail stores and 3.8 restaurants, according to StorageCafe.

The city has high household incomes, StorageCafe reported, with more than half of Laguna Beach households making over $129,983 a year.
The company also noted Laguna Beach's low crime rate and public school system.
