Laguna Beach Residents Urged To Give Input Regarding City Manager
Public input is being sought as the City of Laguna Beach begins its search for a new city manager. How to have your voice heard.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The City of Laguna Beach is preparing to start its search for a new city manager, and residents were urged to have their voices heard.
"The city council wants to ensure the public has an opportunity to provide feedback about the most important qualities potential candidates should possess," a city statement read.
In an effort to garner public response, the city released an online public survey regarding the city manager recruitment. The survey is available for the public to take and will remain open until Friday, Nov. 10.

Residents interested in taking the confidential survey can find it on the city's website.
The survey posting comes after former Laguna Beach City Manager Shohreh Dupuis stepped down from her position as city manager in September, following a 33-year career in local government.

Her departure, according to the city, was a result of a mutually agreed-upon separation agreement that was negotiated in response to a hostile work environment claim filed by Dupuis following a "period of conflict with a city council member."
