Laguna Playhouse In-Person Acting Classes Coming Soon
Young actors can audition to join and connect with each other to learn a variety of acting skills, with classes starting in September.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA —Acting classes can be challenging to do remotely. They require a visceral connection between actors that's difficult to achieve via Zoom. So, if your children have been clamoring for live acting classes, check out the Fall Acting Conservatory presented by the Laguna Playhouse.
Classes begin September 7. Actors aged 10 to 18 are invited to audition.
Selected students will learn how actors, designers, writers and directors transform themselves—and their world—on stage and film. They will do this through various mediums including acting, improv, playwriting and directing, all under the guidance of performing arts professionals.

The acting conservatory is a year-round program. So, any students selected in the Fall must commit to the entire 36-week program (September through June). Selected students are placed in classes based on age, skill level and where they can reach their best potential.
If students are more interested in backstage jobs like lighting and sound, they can audition for these roles instead. They would then get the opportunity to work on the Youth Theatre Productions, which puts on three shows annually.
