Lead Chef At Larsen Restaurant In Hotel Laguna To Exit

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The head chef at the Hotel Laguna restaurant Larsen will leave his position from the restaurant on Friday, the Laguna Beach Independent reported.

This move comes less than a year after the first floor of Hotel Laguna was reopened in 2021 after COVID-19 pandemic closures. According to the report, Chef Craig Strong accepted a job offer with Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach after 13 years in the local restaurant scene.

“I’m proud of what we’ve done,” Strong told the Laguna Beach Independent. “It’s been well-received by the community. But sometimes opportunities come by and you have to weigh out what’s the best option.”
