LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Laguna Beach residents can expect sidewalk construction to resume on Coast Highway starting Sunday, Jan. 23, city officials said.

Starting Sunday, Caltrans crews will be working on ADA sidewalk improvements on Coast Highway, between Ledroit Street and Ruby Street.

Work will start from north to south, the city said, with the portion between Ledroit Street and Boat Canyon expected to be completed in May of this year.

Construction of the sidewalk portion between Boat Canyon and Ruby Street will start Sept. 2023 and end May 2024, the city said.

Residents can expect northbound lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and southbound lane closures from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays.
