3-Car Crash Slows Traffic On 5 Freeway, Injures At Least 1: CHP

Early morning traffic was impacted Monday, Sept. 22 when the crash was reported on the 5 Freeway.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — At least one person was injured in a three-car crash on the 5 Freeway Monday morning.

The crash was reported at 8:09 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 22 on the Interstate 5 Freeway near the Ortega Highway in San Juan Capistrano.

The crash involved a Mercedes, Ford Bronco and an unspecified additional vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At least one person was injured in the crash. Their status was not immediately known.

The crash resulted in slow-moving traffic along the 5 Freeway traveling south Monday morning, authorities said.
