Car Slams Electrical Box On Coast Highway In South OC: OCSD
Traffic in the beachside Orange County town was slowed considerably as a result of the Wednesday morning crash.
DANA POINT, CA — A traffic crash on Pacific Coast Highway slowed morning traffic traveling through Dana Point Wednesday.
The crash was reported just after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, when a car crashed into an electrical box while driving down Pacific Coast Highway near Monarch Bay Plaza, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
"The traffic signal at the intersection is down and the area is operating under stop signs," an OCSD statement read. "Repair crews are on scene and the intersection is expected to be affected for at least 12 hours."

Community members were urged to take alternative routes until the intersection is fully restored.
