Gloria Dei Church to Offer “Blue Christmas” Service for Those Experiencing Loss
Gloria Dei Lutheran church in Dana Point is offering a Blue Christmas service on December 21 at 5 PM for those processing grief and loss

In the quiet beauty of the Christmas season, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (33501 Stonehill Drive, Dana Point, CA 92629) is offering a gentle and contemplative worship service—a space set apart from the hurry and brightness of the holidays. Soft candlelight, sacred music, and moments of stillness will invite participants to pause, breathe, and be present with both the joys and the sorrows that this time of year can hold.

This service, to be held December 21st at 5 PM offers an opportunity to honor loved ones who are no longer with us, to acknowledge personal losses or transitions, and to rest in the comforting promise of God’s presence. Through Scripture, prayer, guided reflection, and silent meditation, the service will remind people that the light of Christ shines into every place—bringing hope, healing, and peace. All people of all faiths are welcome. There is no admission fee, but please register HERE to help the church plan for attendance.
Whether you come seeking solace, renewal, or simply a quiet moment with God, Gloria Dei is extending a warm welcome to all who wish to gather, in the hush of Christmas, to remember, reflect, and open their hearts to the tender grace of Emmanuel—God with us.
