6-Foot Waves Possible In Dana Point Starting Friday
King Tides will return to the Orange County coast through Friday morning. Here's what to know in Dana Point.

DANA POINT, CA — Dana Point residents will want to stay wary of the waves over the next several days, as the National Weather Service issued a Beach Hazard Advisory through Friday morning.
Residents can expect six-foot waves Wednesday through Friday mornings as King Tides return to the Southern California coast, the National Weather Service said.
"A beach hazards statement for minor tidal overflow means that high astronomical tides, especially in combination with above normal surf, will likely produce minor flooding of low lying areas along the beach," an NWS statement read. "Coastal officials should take the necessary precautionary measures to safeguard their beaches."
