Beloved Dana Point Harbor Eatery To Stay Open After Announcing Closure
Harpoon Henry's will no longer be closing its doors to the public on Jan. 28, 2025.

DANA POINT, CA — Christmas came early this year in Orange County, after the owners of a beloved Dana Point Harbor restaurant announced that they would not be closing permanently come January.
Harpoon Henry's, a staple eatery at Dana Point Harbor for almost half a century, will continue serving customers at 34555 Golden Lantern until harbor renovation requires the building to be demolished, Founder and CEO Robert Mardian said this week.
"As founder of Harpoon Henry's, I would like to retract my previous statement regarding the relationship with Dana Point Harbor Partners and our landlord Burnham-Ward Properties," he said.

"Although my employee notice for closure of Harpoon Henry's came prior to a conversation with Mr. Ward, I am happy to share we have since reached an outcome that allows Harpoon Henry's to remain open until the start of the next phase of construction next summer, which will ultimately require the building's demolition" Mardian continued.
The longstanding business announced its impending Jan. 28, 2025 closure on Dec. 3 after almost 50 years of service.
