Coast Highway Closure Extended In South Orange County

DANA POINT, CA — Road closures along Coast Highway were extended Thursday as the City of Dana Point works to clean up debris and trash left behind after the rainy weather this past weekend.

According to the city, the northbound Coast Highway will remain closed until Tuesday, April 9, while the southbound side of the highway will reopen over the weekend.

The closures impact Coast Highway between Palisades Drive and Camino Capistrano. The northbound side of the highway will remain completely closed to traffic, while the southbound side of the highway will be closed during daytime hours.

Residents were strongly urged to steer clear of the areas while crews are at work.
