Coast Hwy Closure In Dana Point Due To Emergency Storm Drain Repair

Residents were urged to steer clear of the closure, which is expected to run for most of Thursday.

DANA POINT, CA — Dana Point City officials shut down a stretch of Coast Highway for an emergency storm drain repair that is expected to last until Thursday, officials said Wednesday.

The closure affects a stretch of southbound Coast Highway between Palisades Drive and Camino Capistrano, according to the city.

The portion of road was closed on Wednesday from noon to 5 p.m. and was expected to resume Thursday at 7:30 a.m.

Motorists were advised to use alternative routes, as only the northbound lane of Coast Highway will remain open for northbound traffic.
