DANA POINT, CA — The City of Dana Point has a new City Manager, after councilmembers unanimously appointed Kelly Reenders as the next City Manager to the City of Dana Point.

Reenders currently serves as Assistant City Manager and Director of Economic Development for Dana Point.

"Kelly has demonstrated expertise across key sectors that include strategic planning, budgeting, economic development, housing and homeless outreach, community services, and all other areas within the city," Dana Point Mayor Matthew Pagano told Patch. "Beyond her professional competencies, Kelly is a wonderful human and a great ambassador for the City of Dana Point, as well as making sure we continue to be fiscally conservative."

Reenders brings more than 23 years as a local government leader to her position.

She started her career with the city in 2016 as Economic Development Manager before becoming Assistant City Manager in 2020.
