Dana Point's Annual Egg Decorating Contest Extended To April 5
Do you have an Easter egg you are particularly proud of? Here's how to submit your egg for this year's contest in Dana Point.

DANA POINT, CA — Calling all creative types in Dana Point, it's time for a little springtime fun.
The city's annual Hippity Hop Egg Decorating Contest is underway, according to Dana Point Recreation Manager Sherry Murphy.
Children up to 12 years old are asked to create an egg that depicts ... spring, Easter, or basically anything fun and family-friendly! The photo can be just your egg or your egg in a cool diorama or location in Dana Point. Your only limit is your imagination!

Then, submit your decorated egg photo and send it to recreation@danapoint.org along with your name and age.
All submitted photos must be received by 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to the city.

The winner will receive a special gift basket from the Easter Bunny, Murphy said. Stay tuned to the city's social media sites for the winner to be announced.

Also! Don't miss the city's Easter Egg hunt on Saturday.
'Hop on down with your family to our annual egg hunts and discover a treasure of hidden candy and plastic-filled eggs," Dana Point's recreation team said online.
Bring your own Easter basket to collect the goodies.
Two egg hunt locations are open this weekend:
- Pines Park, 34942 Camino Capistrano.
- Sea Canyon Park, 33093 Santiago Drive.
The Easter Bunny will be visiting each park for photo opportunities from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
We will also have a Magic Show at each park from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
The egg hunt starts promptly at 10 a.m. for ages up to 10 years.
A pancake breakfast (Adults $10, Children $5) is available at each location from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., with the proceeds benefiting Monarch Beach Sunrise Rotary’s charitable efforts.
