Dana Point Road Resurfacing, Creekside Parking Lot Fixes Planned

The annual street resurfacing plans are expected to be approved at Tuesday's City Council session.

DANA POINT, CA — Part of what keeps Dana Point looking fresh and new each year is the resurfacing of city streets.

On Tuesday, the city council is expected to acknowledge the completion of the citywide slurry seal project from last year, ad bring on a new consultant agreement for the resurfacing of remaining streets.

For the 2021/22 project, Dana Point will partner with West Coast Civil. The San Diego-based company will conduct the future roadway resurfacing into 2022.

Last year, the City of Dana Point saw to it that slurry seal and striping were completed on a number of streets citywide.

The city's public works department says they were able to complete 2020/21's tasks under budget, they reported and will request that unused funds go toward rehabbing the Creekside Park Parking Lot, which is in need of repairs according to residents.
