"An early winter storm system will bring areas of heavy rainfall, including the chance for thunderstorms. Any areas that see thunderstorms and/or prolonged rainfall will see an increased flood risk," the National Weather Service said in a statement.

Excessive rain may result in flooded rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations, according to the NWS.
