Parts Of Coast Highway To Close In Dana Point Due To Storm Debris

The closure will take place Thursday, Jan. 19 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Here's what to know in Dana Point.

DANA POINT, CA — While the skies have cleared over Dana Point — for now — the inundation of rain, winds and high tides left a lot for city crews to clean up.

On Thursday, Jan. 19, crews with the Dana Point Public Works Department will work all day to remove storm drain debris from parts of Coast Highway caused by the recent storm.

According to the city, both lanes of Coast Highway will be closed starting from Camino Capistrano. The closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., the city said.

Residents were advised to plan ahead and use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
