The first winter storm of the season created flooding in certain regions — including the San Juan Creek, according to Surfer.
DANA POINT, CA — The first winter storm of the season created flood conditions throughout the region.
In San Juan Creek, rainy conditions and "humans armed with shovels" broke the creek and flooded untold gallons of runoff into the iconic Dana Point surf sport Doheny State Beach, Surfer reported.
The impact from the Tuesday rain was seen on drone footage published by Greg Viviani, which shows a massive inundation of dark-colored water from the river flowing into the ocean.

"Be careful what you put in the storm drains upstream," Viviani wrote. "Everything flows right into the Pacific Ocean. We can all help protect the ocean and this planet."
