Several Road Closures Planned In Lake Forest For OC Triathlon
Several road closures will impact traffic in Lake Forest Sunday during the Orange County Triathlon and Duathlon.
LAKE FOREST, CA — Hundreds of athletes will descend on Lake Mission Viejo Sunday as part of the Orange County Triathlon, leading to several road closures around the Lake Forest area.
The race will go through Mission Viejo and surrounding communities like Lake Forest, and road closes will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The closures will impact El Toro Road, Santiago Canyon Road and Portola Parkway. Lake Forest officials are advising motorists to use alternative routes if possible.

The full set of closures for the triathlon are:
- Marguerite Parkway, Vista del Lago to La Barca 5:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.
- Olympiad Road, Melinda to Marguerite 5:30 a.m. - noon
- Marguerite Parkway, La Barca to El Toro 6:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
- Los Alisos Blvd, Novena to Entidad 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
