South OC Pizza Parlor Named Top 10 Best In Nation

DANA POINT, CA — A Dana Point pizzeria was just named the ninth best pizzeria in the nation by the prestigious 50 Top Pizza USA guide for 2025.

In addition to its top 10 ranking, Truly Pizza received coveted "Performance of the Year" award, honoring outstanding achievement in service, innovation and overall business excellence.

The pizzeria's co-founder, John Arena, was also awarded the 2025 "Icon Award," which honors individuals who have dedicated their life to the craft.

"This is an incredible honor for our team," Truly Pizza Co-Founder Donna Baldwin told Patch. "To be named one of the top 10 pizzerias in the country, receive 'Performance of the Year' during a time of growth, and seeing John honored for his lifetime commitment to the craft — it's a testament to the passion and purpose behind everything we do."

The announcement comes as Truly Pizza goes into its third year of business and prepares to open a second location in Laguna Beach, set to open later this year.

Since opening in Dana Point in 2023, the pizzeria has become a well-loved staple in south Orange County. Residents can try out Truly Pizza Wednesday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 24402 Del Prado Ave.
