Loaded Piper is a 4-year-old, 51-pound, female, Shepherd mix.
A hiker found her and her puppies in a crate beside a trail then took them to a shelter. After her puppies were adopted, Loaded Piper was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS).
She’s medium energy who enjoys napping, sunbathing, cuddling, walking, meeting people, and being brushed. She might be okay living in an apartment.

The $145 adoption fee for Loaded Piper includes medical exam, spay, vaccinations, microchip, and a one-year license if her new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society.

No Bones About It! Keep Pets Safe this Thanksgiving!
* Make sure they have "Pet Food" available
* Keep the pets out of the kitchen
* Remind your family and guests not to sneak food to your pets
* No Bones and DO NOT give your pets the fat.
* No sweets, candy or desserts.
* Do not “make a plate” for your pet.
* No Booze, cider, sparkling water, etc.
Make sure your decorations are pet safe. Take out the trash and store it where pets can’t get to it.
