1 Injured, 6 Displaced In RivCo House Fire

One dog and four cats were also rescued from the burning home.

PERRIS, CA — Five adults and a child were displaced in a house fire that injured one person in Perris on Thursday, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 10:16 a.m. 300 block of West 7th Street in Perris, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. When firefighters arrived, moderate smoke was billowing from the single-family home.

The fire was contained as crews rescued one dog and four cats from the home, officials said. Meanwhile, one person was taken to a hospital for minor medical symptoms.

No other information was immediately available and the fire was still under investigation on Thursday afternoon.
