1 Killed In Crash Into Perris Building

PERRIS, CA — A person was killed Sunday when a vehicle drove into a building in Perris, fire officials said.

It happened at 1:36 p.m. in the 100 block of West Nuevo Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Fire officials did not specify what building was struck, but the area is mostly businesses, including the Perris Towne Square shopping center.

It was not immediately clear if the fatality was someone inside or outside the vehicle.

Building and safety inspectors from the city of Perris were requested to check on the integrity of the structure that was hit.
