19 Citations Issued During Lake Elsinore St. Patrick's Day Operation
The local operation by the sheriff's department took place amid a statewide Alcoholic Beverage Control holiday enforcement effort.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Nineteen people were cited during a St. Patrick's Day crackdown in Lake Elsinore that focused on drinking in public, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced Friday.
The operation took place during a statewide Alcoholic Beverage Control holiday enforcement effort "designed to create awareness about the dangers of drinking in public throughout California and keep communities safe," according to the sheriff's department.
Alcohol-related violations in Lake Elsinore included open containers in non-designated public places.

“This is important to the city of Lake Elsinore in order to increase protection for youth and to hold accountable problem locations that contribute to an increase in crime,” said Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Captain J. Rayls.
