Armed Robbery Suspects Caught In Lake Elsinore

Brian Cruz, 21, and Julianne Smith, 23, ​are suspected of an armed robbery.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA -- Two Lake Elsinore suspects were arrested Friday night for an alleged armed robbery. Brian Cruz, 21, and Julianne Smith, 23, are suspected of an armed robbery that happened in the 300 block of N. Main Street, according to the Lake Elsinore Police Department.

The victim told police the suspects entered the location with a weapon, and demanded money. The victim cooperated and the two then fled the area.

The suspects were later found in the 300 block of Lookout Drive. The suspects were taken into custody without incident, at which time the money and the weapon used in the robbery were also located, police said.

Both were later booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center for robbery and probation violations.
