Corona-Area Home Ignites Overnight, Resident Flees With Pet: Cal Fire
A Home Gardens resident and their pet fled a house fire early Monday.

HOME GARDENS, CA — A two-story Corona-area home ignited early Monday, displacing the family inside, officials say.
Shortly before 2:15 a.m., 911 dispatch was alerted of the blaze in the 13000 block of August Circle, according to a Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokesperson.
"The house was fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived," they said. Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze within about 45 minutes. They remained at the scene for several hours to ensure all hot spots were out.

Fire officials said the American Red Cross arrived to help one displaced adult and pet.
The cause of the fire was not immediately released.
