JURUPA VALLEY, CA — A motorcyclist who was killed in an apparent hit-and-run crash last week was identified Monday as a 24-year-old Riverside man.

Alfonso Rodriguez was pronounced dead at Riverside Community Hospital about 30 minutes after the 3:40 a.m. May 30 crash at 5981 Limonite Avenue in Jurupa Valley, according to the coroner's office.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department reported that the motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle. Deputies and paramedics arrived and found the rider, later identified as Rodriguez, gravely injured in the roadway.
