Coroner ID's Driver Killed In Lake Elsinore Crash

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A man killed in a Thursday morning crash in Lake Elsinore was identified by the coroner as 42-year-old Dallas Gilliam of Corona.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, deputies were called at about 5:45 a.m. to the single-vehicle crash on Lake Street just north of Mountain Street.

The driver, later identified as Gilliam, crashed into a telephone pole and was trapped in the wreckage. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, he died at the scene, according to the sheriff's department.

No other injuries were reported.
