Coroner IDs Pedestrian Struck, Killed East Of Lake Elsinore

The fatality was reported at about 7:40 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Old Elsinore Road and San Jacinto Avenue.

GOOD HOPE, CA — A pedestrian who was struck and killed this week while walking along a street in Good Hope, east of Lake Elsinore, was identified Friday by the coroner as a 42-year-old Perris man.

Alberto Andrade was fatally hit about 7:40 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Old Elsinore Road and San Jacinto Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP said the driver of a sedan ran into the pedestrian on Old Elsinore, but no other details were immediately available.

The motorist immediately stopped and called 911.

Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department paramedics reached the location within 10 minutes and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

CHP officers questioned but did not arrest the driver.

The investigation is ongoing.
