WILDOMAR, CA — The heavy police presence Saturday afternoon at Clinton Keith Road and Interstate 15 in Wildomar was due to a driver who passed out behind the wheel and then refused to exit his vehicle when deputies arrived, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The incident was reported shortly after 1:30 p.m. when deputies were called to the area. They awakened the driver, but, according to Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez, he refused to roll down his window and subsequently drove away.

"Within a short distance, the vehicle became disabled and the driver refused to exit the vehicle again," the sergeant continued.
