Fire Damages Lake Elsinore Home On Don Juan Street

The cause of Tuesday's blaze remains under investigation.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A fire erupted Tuesday in a Lake Elsinore home, causing major damage to the property before firefighters gained the upper hand.

The blaze was reported shortly after 2 p.m. in the 18200 block of Don Juan Street, near 11th Street, just east of Interstate 15, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

According to the agency, multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered heavy smoke and flames on two sides of the single-story residence.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to neighboring houses, fully containing it at 2:50 p.m., according to reports from the scene.

The damage was substantial. It was not immediately clear whether the home was occupied.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
