MORENO VALLEY, CA —An unconscious Moreno Valley resident trapped in a house fire was rescued overnight by some heroic Cal Fire/Riverside County Firefighters, that agency said early Tuesday.

Just after 12:30 a.m., firefighters raced to the scene of a home in the 14000 block of Cypress Sands Lane to find the single-story home filled with heavy smoke, Jasmine Wood, spokesperson for the department, told Patch.

Arriving officers forced their way inside the actively burning home. The living room was ablaze, and the residence was filled with thick smoke, according to Wood. The firefighters soon discovered one unconscious person who had collapsed in the hallway, trapped inside the burning house.
