RIVERSIDE, CA — Firefighters knocked down an approximately three-quarter acre vegetation fire in Riverside, authorities said Sunday.

Firefighters dispatched at 4:20 p.m. Saturday to the 4800 block of Commerce Street had the fire under control at 5:30 p.m., said Battalion Chief Scott Wilson of the Riverside Fire Department.

"Fire investigators were on scene and have identified a person of interest related to the fire," Wilson said.

Crews remained on scene for about an hour to overhaul the fire area, Wilson said. No injuries were reported.
