SAN JACINTO, CA — A gas line rupture in San Jacinto Monday prompted a precautionary evacuation of multiple residences in a neighborhood just north of Highway 74.
The gas leak was reported shortly before 11 a.m. in the area of Ametista Drive and Topazio Place, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
Several engine crews were sent to the location and detected natural gas odors near a residence, though the precise location of the leak couldn't be immediately determined.
