Homicide Investigation Continues In Lake Elsinore

The death was reported in the 33100 block of Jamieson Street, on the northwest side of the lake.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A homicide investigation was continuing Monday in Lake Elsinore following a shooting over the weekend, but information about a suspect was not released.

The incident was reported shortly after 2 p.m. Sunday when the Lake Elsinore Sheriff Station responded to a medical aid call in the 33100 block of Jamieson Street, on the northwest side of the lake.

When deputies arrived, they found a male suffering from gunshot wounds. He died at the scene, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. His identity and age were not released pending notification of next of kin.

Investigators determined the incident was a homicide, the sheriff's department reported. No details were released about a suspect or a possible motive.
