Lake Elsinore Deputies Ramp Up DUI Patrols Through Jan. 1
Through New Year's Day, the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station will have more officers on the road looking for impaired drivers.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — The holiday season crackdown targeting drivers impaired by alcohol and drugs in the Lake Elsinore, Wildomar area has begun and will run through Jan. 1, officials said Friday.
Through New Year's Day, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department will deploy more officers scanning for drivers under the influence, according to a release from the department. The annual high-visibility enforcement period is part of a national campaign, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over, to stop suspected impaired drivers from putting others at risk.
“During the holiday season, we see families and loved ones coming together to celebrate, and our goal is to make sure everyone gets home safely,” Deputy Keyser said in a release. “Impaired driving isn’t just dangerous; it’s illegal. Let’s make this a joyful and safe holiday season for everyone on the road. We urge people to act responsibly and plan a sober ride home.”
