Lake Elsinore To Help Business Owners Ward Off Trespassers

LAKE ELSINORE, CA Local business owners frustrated with loitering and trespassing can take action at a letter-writing workshop next month, officials said. hosted

On June 11 at CJ’s Sports Grill Outdoor Patio from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., business and property owners are invited to attend the event, where both a notary and sheriff will be on-site to help complete a Trespass Letter of Authority — also known as a 602 PC Letter.

The document formally authorizes the Riverside County Sheriff's Department to enforce trespassing laws on private property, even when the owner or representative is not present. Those who are charged can face criminal fines and penalties.

The June workshop is the second recent workshop supported by TLG Group Services and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
