Lake Elsinore Man Sentenced For Sexually Abusing Child

Albert George Williams received a longer prison sentence after he was retried.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA -- A Lake Elsinore man was sentenced to 200 years to life in prison recently after he was convicted of nine counts lewd and lascivious acts on a child under the age of 14. Authorities said Albert George Williams, 68, was sentenced on Jan. 19.

Williams, a former karate instructor, was arrested in 2012 after a 10-year-old girl told her parents he molested her. This investigation led to other victims who told investigators of additional molestations by Williams. In July 2014, Williams was convicted for these crimes and sentenced to 150 years to life in state prison.

Williams appealed his conviction and the California Appeals Court ruled in his favor and the conviction was overturned. The case was sent back to Riverside County and re-tried in 2017. Williams was again convicted on multiple counts of lewd and lascivious acts, digital penetration/oral copulation of a minor and witness intimidation.
