"Jason was a cherished son, brother, uncle, friend, co-worker, and a proud Navy veteran who touched many lives."

PERRIS, CA — A Lake Elsinore motorcyclist who was killed last week when a motorist pulled in front of him on state Route 74 was identified over the weekend by the coroner as 44-year-old Jason Frost.
According to a GoFundMe post established for Frost's family, he was a Navy veteran who was on his way home from his job at UPS when the crash happened.
At approximately 9:17 p.m. May 2, Frost was riding westbound on SR-74 on a Honda CBF nearing Betty Road in unincorporated Perris. He was traveling at an undetermined speed and did not have a signal or stop sign, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A 52-year-old Hesperia woman behind the wheel of a Toyota Highlander was on Betty Road nearing SR-74. She had a stop sign at the T intersection and complied, but apparently did not see the motorcyclist and pulled in front of him onto the highway, the CHP reported.
Frost could not stop his bike in time and crashed into the SUV. He was ejected and died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet, according to the CHP.

The woman and her 53-year-old male passenger were not injured, the CHP reported.
Alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected to be crash factors, and there were no arrests, but charges "may be pending" as the investigation progresses, CHP Officer Mike Lassig said.
"Jason was a cherished son, brother, uncle, friend, co-worker, and a proud Navy veteran who touched many lives," according to the GoFundMe post. "His tragic passing is not only untimely, but unexpected.
"Several friends and family have asked how they can help, so we started this GoFundMe to help with any unexpected expenses that aren't already covered. The balance of funds will be donated to a charity supporting veterans in Jason's name," the post continued.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call the CHP, Temecula Area office at 951-466-4300.
