Lake Elsinore Suspect Gave Marijuana To Minors, Cops Seek More Leads
A 21-year-old Lake Elsinore man was booked last week on suspicion of using social media to advertise and sell marijuana and vape to minors.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station is asking for additional information on a resident who allegedly sold marijuana and nicotine products to minors.
Members of the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station Special Enforcement Team launched an investigation stemming from a December report of "sales of marijuana vape pens to minors," according to a Riverside County Sheriff's Department statement.
Saul Perez, 21, was arrested on Thursday, on suspicion of using social media to sell marijuana and nicotine vapes to underage children, the department said.

Perez was detained during a traffic stop at 1 p.m. and a search warrant was issued at his residence. Between his vehicle and residence, authorities allegedly found "261 nicotine and marijuana vape products, about one-half pound of marijuana, two digital scales and $5,050 in United States currency."
Following the search, Perez was booked into the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of multiple drug-related offenses, including selling marijuana to a minor and selling marijuana without a license, according to the statement.

According to court records, he appeared at Southwest Riverside County Court on Friday, Feb. 21, and is currently not listed in the Riverside County inmate database.
"The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office takes a hard stance in ensuring the safety and well-being of our youth in the areas we serve. Alleged crimes of introducing harmful contraband to our younger generation will be investigated immediately, and swift action will be taken, according to Sgt. Jarrod Meissen.
