Man Arrested In Death Of 29-Year-Old Winchester Man
Joseph Mokate was arrested and transported to the Cois Byrd Detention Center where he was booked on suspicion of murder.

WINCHESTER, CA — A 60-year-old Hemet man has been arrested on suspicion of killing a 29-year-old man in Winchester, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced Saturday.
Deputies responded to the intersection of Winchester and Thompson roads at around 6:55 p.m. Monday to a report of a possible dead person, and found Boris Stepanyuk of Winchester suffering from a possible stab wound. Stepanyuk was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators later identified Joseph Mokate as the suspect with help from the sheriff's Special Enforcement Bureau and deputies form the Major Crimes Bureau.

Sheriff's officials said there were no outstanding suspects.
