Motorcyclist Killed In Corona Crash

CORONA, CA — A motorcyclist was fatally injured in a collision with a pickup truck at a Corona intersection, authorities said Thursday.

The agency said the motorcycle rider, identified only as a 35-year-old Corona man, was traveling on Green River at an unconfirmed speed when his bike and the pickup impacted.

The pickup driver, whose identity was not disclosed, immediately stopped.

The motorcyclist was taken to a regional trauma center with extensive life-threatening injuries and died a short time later.

Patrol officers questioned the other driver but did not arrest him.

"At this time, it is not known if drugs or alcohol were a factor in this collision, and the cause remains under investigation," according to a police department statement.
