Multiple Injuries Reported In Temescal Valley I-15 Crash

TEMESCAL VALLEY, CA — Four people were injured Friday in a three-vehicle wreck on Interstate 15 in Temescal Valley, where one of the victims had to be extricated from the wreckage.

The crash happened at 2:55 p.m. on northbound I-15, just south of Temescal Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The agency reported a GMC Denali SUV and two pickup trucks impacted in the fast-lane, but no other details were available.

Several Corona Fire Department engine crews, along with Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department crew, were sent to the location and found an occupant of the SUV trapped in the vehicle.

A cut-and-rescue operation was completed within 20 minutes, freeing the victim, whose identity was not disclosed.

The party was taken to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries, according to officials at the scene.

Three other victims suffered minor injuries and were taken to the same facility.

CHP officers moved the vehicles to the center divider, opening the No. 1 lane within 30 minutes of the collision, which was under investigation.
