Pedestrian Killed In Cajalco Road Hit-And-Run, Public's Help Sought
"Immediately following the crash, the driver fled the scene on Cajalco Road, without stopping to render aid to the victim," the CHP said.
MEAD VALLEY, CA — A hit-and-run crash Monday morning in unincorporated Perris left a pedestrian dead.
The fatal wreck was reported at 7:42 a.m. at 22675 Cajalco Road, just west of Interstate 215, according to the California Highway Patrol.
As of 8 a.m., the coroner was en route to the scene.

A SigAlert was issued at approximately 8:15 a.m. for the road from Day Street to Seaton Avenue, the CHP reported.
There was no word yet on a suspect vehicle description; the identity of the deceased was withheld. The CHP said the victim was a 37-year-old Perris man, but his name was not released pending notification of next of kin.

A preliminary investigation revealed the man was hit between the hours of 3:15 a.m. and 7 a.m.
