See an Historic Airplane – Or a Ghost – at March Field Air Museum

March Field Air Museum is a great place to see the history of military aviation – and possibly a ghost as well – this Saturday.

The museum is offering a special ghost tour for small groups aged 18 and older from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday night. Contact annie@marchfield.org for reservations. Capacity is limited.

But anybody of any age can see over 70 historic aircraft parked at the museum on the western edge of March Air Reserve Base.

Bombers on display include the famous B-17 Flying Fortress and B-29 Superfortress from World War II, plus B-47 and B-52 jet bombers from the Cold War. 

There is a collection of Russian MiG fighters, as well as American equivalents such as the F-86 Sabre, F-4 Phantom, F-14 Tomcat and F-15 Eagle.

There is a giant C-141 jet transport, and a Minuteman II intercontinental missile towers over the field.

The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $10 for ages 12 and up, $5 for 5-11 and free for younger guests. The ghost tour is $50 per person.

To get to the museum, exit I-215 at Van Buren Boulevard.
