Senior Citizen Dies In Inferno East Of Lake Elsinore

NUEVO, CA — A fire that ripped through a motor home and three vehicles Wednesday east of Lake Elsinore claimed the life of one person, and the Riverside County Sheriff's Department is involved in the investigation.

The blaze was reported at 4:03 p.m. in the 31000 block of Park Boulevard in the unincorporated community of Nuevo.

When firefighters arrived, they found the vehicles and motor home "fully involved" in flames, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

"One senior succumbed to his injuries on the scene," Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department officials confirmed Wednesday night.

The man's age and identity were not released.

Firefighters remained on scene well into the evening.
