SigAlert Issued On 215 Freeway After Debris Spill, Lanes Closed

Chunks of cement, rebar and wood were being removed by heavy equipment.

PERRIS, CA — A SigAlert was issued late Monday morning after a tractor's trailer overturned on Interstate 215 in Perris.

The SigAlert was issued at 11:25 a.m. after the crash on southbound I-215 near Harley Knox Boulevard in Perris.

No injuries were reported but spilled debris from the trailer shuttered the freeway's #1 and #2 lanes. Chunks of cement, rebar and wood were being removed by heavy equipment.

As of 12:08 p.m., crews were still working to clear debris. It's not clear when lanes might reopen.

Traffic was slowly moving through the area.
